About Lincoln Trident Swimming Academy
LTSA is a registered Charity and Swim England affiliated Swim21 Club based in Lincoln whose aims and objectives are to increase participation in water based activities (predominantly swimming) by providing information and structured training sessions for swimmers of all levels from leisure/fitness swimmers through to competitive swimmers in a supportive, accessible and progressively developmental way, promoting participation at all levels and developing/mentoring the corresponding workforce.
On 10/03/2013 Lincoln Trident Swimming Academy was initially created with a small, but dedicated group of swimmers and coaches whose ambition was to make it a great Club.
However, LTSA soon identified a need for something more : a need for active provision of information, opportunities and the building/developing of pathways/relationships between facilities providers, swim schools, primary schools, social and competitive clubs and the wider public and community generally and aims to fulfill this by providing accessible water based activities/training, signposting to relevant groups/clubs/facilities and generally providing support and information as required on an individual and community basis to enable participants to continue to participate and achieve their individual goals.
LTSA’s activities include public, primary schools and general community as well as providing regular supportive training sessions (“the Academy”) for those who wish to maintain fitness, improve skills/technique and/or develop towards and participate in competitions, and for individuals wanting to train or improve/develop teaching/coaching skills.
LTSA also offers an assess and refer service to put prospective participants in touch with organisations appropriate for their individual needs.
